All the proposal procedures (first submission of the abstract, successive phases of evaluation and final submission of the contribution) will be carried out through the Easy Chair platform. To propose a thematic session, in addition to the submission of abstracts of all papers provided on EasyChair must also fill out the appropriate form of session proposal. Proposal for Abstract contribution

To participate in the Congress you need to upload an abstract on Easy Chair necessarily of length within 1500 characters (spaces included) and fill in the fields related to authors, title and keywords (between 3 and 5) all in one language (Italian or English); finally, select the thematic area to which the proposal should be forwarded. In this step you will also have to upload a file . docx with a short CV of 300 lines for each author. Please note that no bibliographical references are required.

Proposed Thematic Session

The session proposals consist of an indication of a title, an abstract describing the session and the indication of 3 or 4 contributions submitted by the individual authors involved (of which submission codes provided by the Easy Chair platform will be provided after uploading). The session proposal must be submitted through the Google Form accessible at this link. To propose the session it is necessary to ensure, therefore, that all the authors have already made the submission of their abstract on the Easy Chair platform, following the procedure indicated above.

Proposal for participation in the Doctoral School

The States General host a multidisciplinary Doctoral School of industrial archaeology that aims to share current research and experiences in the field of doctoral studies. The Doctoral School will have a special session, designed to support the comparison between PhD students and researchers experts in the field. For this reason, the presentation of the papers will include a 3-minute video session followed by an open session discussion of the proposed research.
For the conference participants who intend to participate in the Doctoral School it is sufficient to indicate in the submission form on Easy Chair the specific indication “contibuto per doctoral school”. The procedure for submission of the abstract and full paper is the same as the other contributions presented at the conference. Following the acceptance of the abstract, the instructions of the committee for the realization of the video will be sent to the speaker. The contributions submitted for the Doctoral School session can cover all the topics proposed in the subject areas. The selection of best papers will be made in proportion to the number of participants, and all papers from the Doctoral School will also be published in the proceedings.

General conditions

Each author may submit a single paper, but since the purpose of the States General is to permit the widest comparison, it is permitted for members of working groups and research to be co-authors of more than one paper, with the warning that each paper is presented by a different pre-registered corresponding author , in accordance with the payment of registration to the conference.Papers may not be published and submitted with corresponding author who is not regularly registered at the congress or who has already submitted another paper as corresponding author. In order to ensure the regularity of the submission of contributions, it is therefore imperative that each corresponding author, in good standing with the registration, be associated with one paper. When registering for the conference, each participant will be asked to indicate the paper code of which he is the corresponding author. It is still possible to register for the congress without submitting contributions..

Full-paper submission

In the next phase of sending the full paper to be submitted to the review process, you will have to upload a file in format on the Easy Chair in the “uploads” section. docx, paginated according to the format downloadable from the congress website. At this stage it will also be possible to update the list of authors, title, abstract and keywords of the contribution through “update information/author/file” or withdraw the article with “withdraw”. The final texts of the papers must be reloaded by the authors always in format. docx in the same section of the Easy Chair site.
